Time to Glaze
I picked up my second batch of bisque from the kiln at Daven's Ceramics today, which means it’s officially time to glaze. This stage feels especially creative and a little magical to me. Choosing which glaze to use, where to place it, how thick to apply it, and then wondering what it will all look like in the end — it’s equal parts intuition and trust.
There’s so much possibility wrapped up in this part of the process. Every brushstroke feels like a quiet decision, every piece holding a question mark until fire has the final say.
Witch hats, ghosties, and teacups are all ready to go. Now comes the waiting… and the wondering.
